Hello, neighbor!
Nice to have you visit. Just like you, we love to have fun - and have fun with our pets! That's why we're working hard to bring dog parks and other people & pet recreation opportunities to the Portneuf Valley.

The latest news:

The new 2014 BBP t-shirts are in!

2014 T-Shirt
2014 T-shirts come in 4 neon colors: orange, pink, green and yellow! Pick the color you like best. Sizes are unisex Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, 2XL and 3XL. These are short-sleeve cotton t-shirts. Available at Pocatello Pet Lodge. They are included with a paid 2014 membership too. All proceeds go to dog park efforts!

The OLD TOWN PEOPLE & PET WALK!

Whee is it?

Bannock Bark Parks has joined forces with Old Town Pocatello to develop an “Old Town People & Pet Walking Tour.” When completed, this amenity will provide a route that includes printed maps, pet-friendly dog watering stations, benches, poop-bag dispensers with trash cans with connectivity to the Old Town Bark Park (a fenced off-leash dog park), the Portneuf Greenway and other area trails.

Check out our plans

To date, the dog park is complete and the map has been published.  We continue to work with Old Town Pocatello, the City of Pocatello Parks & Recreation Department to install more items like dog-friendly water fountains, waste bags & trash cans, and kiosks for distributing walking tour maps. We've got a good start already on donations from local folks who want more dog parks! Old Town Pocatello is a proud supporter of Bannock Bark Parks and 'responsible dog' communities!

Donate to the dog park construction fund!
Even as the Old Town Bark Park opens, we continue to work on  improvements for the Old Town Bark Park and the People & Pet Walk...as well as planning for future multi-acre dog parks in the area. We are a 501c3 charity, so donations are tax deductible!

As ever, we want to show the Cities of Pocatello and Chubbuck that dog parks are needed facilities here in town. The main thing you can do to help with this effort (besides using your winning lottery ticket to build a dog park...) is to tell the Mayors, City Councils and Parks Departments that you want a dog park in your neighborhood and that a dog park will be a good investment for our community. Dog parks are good for people!
